Navadwīp is a historical town situated in West Bengal, India, On the banks of the Ganges River. It is renowned for its spiritual significance and cultural heritage. Navadwīp is considered to be one of the most important pilgrimage centers for followers of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, A branch of Hinduism. Every year thousands of devotees visit various temples and shrines in the town. The name Navadwīp means nine islands in Bengali because there are nine islands that make up the town surrounded by water bodies such as rivers, Canals, And lakes that add to its natural beauty.

The climate here is tropical with hot summers and mild winters. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was an influential saint who lived during the 16th century and founded Gaudiya Vaishnavism. He made Navadwīp his headquarters during his lifetime where he emphasized devotion to Lord Krishna through singing and dancing (kirtan). Many temples in Navadwīp are dedicated to him or his followers.
