Kalār is a charming town located in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate of Iraq, Nestled in the foothills of the Zagros Mountains. The area is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and diverse wildlife. One of Kalār’s most notable attractions is its ancient fortress, Which has stood watch over the town for centuries. - During the Abbasid Caliphate (750-1258), it was an important center for Islamic scholarship and learning, with many famous scholars living and teaching in the town during this period.
