Kamianets-Podilskyi is a beautiful city in western Ukraine, Situated on the banks of the Smotrych River. The city boasts a stunning medieval fortress and an enchanting old town that are both steeped in history and culture. The Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle, Also known as the Old Castle, Is the main attraction of the city. It was constructed by Lithuanian princes in the 14th century to protect against Mongol invasions. The fortress sits atop a rocky island in a deep canyon, Providing breathtaking views of its surroundings. Visitors can explore its many towers, Ramparts, And dungeons.

Apart from its castle, Kamianets-Podilskyi’s old town is worth exploring too. Its narrow streets are lined with colorful buildings adorned with intricate facades and balconies dating back to when it was an important center for trade and commerce between 16th-19th centuries. One of Kamianets-Podilskyi’s most striking features is its Armenian quarter – visitors can see remnants of their influence throughout this area including ornate churches like Sts Peter & Paul Church or St Nicholas Armenian Cathedral.

St George’s Cathedral – an impressive Baroque-style church that dates back to 1766 AD – is another must-see site in Kamianets-Podilskyi due to its beautiful frescoes depicting scenes from biblical stories as well as Ukrainian folk tales.
