1. Dynamo Kyiv is the most successful football club in Ukraine, having won 13 league titles and two European Cup victories since its founding in 1927. The club has produced many of the country’s greatest players, including Andriy Shevchenko and Oleg Blokhin.
2. BC Budivelnyk is a basketball club that was established in 1963. The team has won seven Ukrainian championships and reached the Eurocup quarterfinals twice.

4. FC Arsenal Kyiv was established in 2001 as a football club but has faced financial difficulties resulting in several name changes and relegations from the top division over time. WFC Zhytlobud-1 Kharkiv (formerly known as FC Lehenda-ShVSM) is a women’s football team that originated from Kharkiv but relocated to Kyiv for this season due to COVID-19 travel restrictions between regions of Ukraine.
