Laiwu is a city located in the eastern part of Shandong Province, China. It borders Jinan to the north, Zibo to the east, Tai’an to the south, And Dezhou to the west. The city covers an area of 2, 246 square kilometers and has a population of over 1.2 million people. With a history dating back over 4, 000 years, Laiwu was once known as Zibo County and was an important center for agriculture during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC). Today it is known for its rich mineral resources such as iron ore, Copper, Gold, Silver and other metals.

Mount Taishan is one of Laiwu’s most popular attractions. Located just south of the city it is considered one of China’s Five Sacred Mountains and attracts thousands of tourists each year who come to hike its trails or visit its temples. Laicheng Park is another popular attraction with beautiful gardens that bloom throughout all four seasons. Laiwu also boasts several historical sites such as Longshan Temple which dates back over 1, 000 years ago during Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) period.
