The city is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. The Tai’erzhuang Ancient Town is one of the most famous attractions in Licheng.   3. Liu Yongfu: Liu Yongfu was a Chinese general who fought against French colonial forces during the Sino-French War (1884-1885). He was born in Qiaotou, which is now part of Licheng.
  4. Zuo Zongtang: Zuo Zongtang was a Chinese military leader who played an important role in suppressing rebellions during the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). He was born in Yanzhou, which is now part of Licheng.
  5. Cheng Hao: Cheng Hao was a Confucian philosopher who lived during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD). He was born in Yanzhou, which is now part of Licheng.
  6. The Yellow River Floods: The Yellow River has flooded many times throughout history causing destruction and loss of life; one such flood occurred near Yanzhou, which is now part of Licheng back 1855.
  7. Taierzhuang Battle Memorial Hall commemorates the Battle that took place near Licheng during Second Sino-Japanese War(1937-1945).
