It is situated approximately 20 km northeast of the national capital, Delhi and has a rich history dating back to the medieval period when it was ruled by various dynasties such as the Mughals and Rajputs. One of Loni’s most significant landmarks is its ancient fort that was built during Emperor Shah Jahan’s reign in the 17th century.
