Lviv, Situated in western Ukraine, Is a city with a fascinating past and breathtaking architecture. This city was founded by King Daniel of Galicia in the 13th century and has been ruled by various empires including Poland, Austria-Hungary and the Soviet Union. The Old Town of Lviv is one of its most notable attractions and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.   5. RC Leopolis is a rugby club that was established in 2007; they compete at both national and international levels and have won various tournaments over time.
  6. FC Skala Stryi is based just outside Lviv; it’s one of the oldest teams still playing today since its foundation back in 1921. Although currently competing at an amateur level, it has had many successes at higher levels as well.
  7. SC Tavriya Simferopol (formerly based in Lviv) had a successful run during their time there from 1998-2014 before relocating due to political reasons; they won multiple domestic titles and competed internationally as well during their time there.
