Meridian is a city located in Mississippi, United States. It serves as the county seat of Lauderdale County and is the sixth-largest city in the state. The city has a rich history dating back to pre-Civil War times when it was an important transportation hub for trade and commerce. One of Meridian’s most notable landmarks is Union Station, Which was built in 1906 and served as a major train station until 1972.
