1. The Minnesota Twins are a professional baseball team that was established in 1901 as the Washington Senators and relocated to Minneapolis in 1961. They have won two World Series titles, one in 1987 and the other in 1991.
2. The Minnesota Vikings are an American football team that joined the National Football League (NFL) in 1960 and started playing games in Minneapolis a year later. Although they have made four Super Bowl appearances, they haven’t won a championship yet.
3. The Minnesota Timberwolves are a professional basketball team that was founded in 1989 and began playing games in Minneapolis the following year as part of the National Basketball Association (NBA). They’ve never won an NBA title but did reach the playoffs eight times between 1997-2004.
4. The Minnesota Lynx is a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team established back in 1999 which has been playing its home games at Minneapolis since then. They have won four WNBA championships so far, with their most recent victory being achieved during the year of 2017.
