Monghyr, Or Munger, Is a city in the eastern Indian state of Bihar with a rich cultural heritage dating back to ancient times. It was an important center of trade and commerce during the Mauryan Empire and later became a stronghold for various dynasties such as the Guptas, Mughals, And British. One of its most prominent landmarks is the Munger Fort built during Sher Shah Suri’s reign in 1541 AD. The fort stands on a hill overlooking the town and offers panoramic views of its surroundings.

Baba Jaswant Singh Museum showcases artifacts from different periods including prehistoric times, Mauryan period, Gupta period, Mughal era as well as colonial India.
