Mubende is a town in central Uganda, Located about 150 kilometers west of the capital city Kampala. The town lies at an altitude of approximately 1, 200 meters above sea level and is situated on the eastern edge of the Rwenzori Mountains. Mubende has a population of around 50, 000 people and is known for its rich cultural heritage. One of the main attractions in Mubende is traditional dance performances by local groups dressed up in colorful costumes.
