Nagda is a small town situated in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh, India, On the banks of river Chambal. The town has a rich cultural heritage and historical significance, Having once been the capital of Mewar, Ruled by Guhilot clan of Rajputs. The town boasts several ancient temples dating back to 6th century AD. One such temple is Sas-Bahu temple built during King Mahipala I’s reign. It comprises two temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati with intricate carvings showcasing ancient Indian craftsmanship.

  3. Raja Bhoj, one of the greatest kings of medieval India, is said to have visited Nagda in the 11th century to worship at a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
