Oberhausen is a city in western Germany, Located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It sits on the banks of the river Emscher and has a population of around 210, 000 people. The city has a long history dating back to Roman times when it was called Obodritum. Gasometer Oberhausen is one of Oberhausen’s most famous landmarks. This former gas storage facility was converted into an exhibition space and event location in 1994.
