Olsztyn, Situated in northeastern Poland’s Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Is a city with a population of around 170, 000 people. The city lies on both sides of the Łyna River and is surrounded by forests and lakes. The Teutonic Knights founded Olsztyn during medieval times. Due to its strategic location between Lithuania and Prussia, The city played an important role as a trade center. During World War II, Olsztyn suffered significant damage but was rebuilt after the war.

One of Olsztyn’s most popular landmarks is its castle from the 14th century which served as a residence for Polish kings during their visits to Warmia. Today it houses a museum displaying artifacts from Olsztyn’s history. Lake Ukiel is another attraction in Olsztyn that offers numerous recreational activities like swimming, Sailing, Fishing and kayaking with several beaches where visitors can relax and enjoy nature. Olsztyn also has numerous parks such as Park Centralny covering an area of 27 hectares featuring walking paths, Playgrounds for children along with fountains and sculptures.
