Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye is a district located in the southern part of Moscow, Russia. It is one of the 12 administrative districts in the city and has a population of approximately 200, 000 people. The district was formed by merging two smaller districts – Orekhovo and Borisovo – in 1960. The history of Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye dates back to the 16th century when it was first mentioned in historical records. During the Soviet era, It was known for its industrial prowess with several factories producing textiles, Chemicals, And machinery.

Today, Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye is primarily a residential area with high-rise apartment buildings dominating its skyline.
