Orël is a city in western Russia, Located 350 kilometers south of Moscow. It was founded in the early 16th century as a fortress to protect Moscow from nomadic tribes and became an important trading center during the reign of Ivan IV. Today, Orël has a population of approximately 320, 000 people. One of the most famous landmarks in Orël is its Kremlin, Which was built in the 16th century and served as a military stronghold for centuries.
