Palu is a city located in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It serves as the capital of the province and an important economic and cultural center for the region. The city is situated on a narrow strip of land between Palu Bay to the west and Donggala Bay to the east.   5. Jenderal Sudirman fought against Dutch colonialism as an Indonesian national hero during Indonesia’s struggle for independence in late1940s, spending time recuperating in Palu after being wounded in battle.
