Rāmnagar is a small city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Situated on the banks of the river Ganges about 15 kilometers from Varanasi. The city has historical and cultural significance and is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus. The Rāmnagar Fort, Built in 1750 by Maharaja Balwant Singh, Is one of the most notable landmarks in Rāmnagar. It stands on a hill overlooking the river Ganges and now serves as a museum that houses various artifacts from their reign.

Sita Kund, Believed to be where Sita took her bath during her exile, Is another important attraction in Rāmnagar. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple located in nearby Varanasi also draws many visitors to Rāmnagar. Apart from its religious significance, Rāmnagar has a rich literary history. Many renowned Hindi writers such as Munshi Premchand and Jaishankar Prasad lived here during their formative years.
