San Rafael is a municipality in the Bulacan province of the Philippines, Located on Luzon Island. It shares borders with Baliuag, Bustos, Angat, And Doña Remedios Trinidad. The town covers an area of about 152 square kilometers and has a population exceeding 70, 000 people. The town was named after its patron saint, Saint Raphael the Archangel. Augustinian friars founded San Rafael in 1752 to evangelize the indigenous people living in the area. Today, San Rafael is renowned for its rich history and culture that can be seen through its various heritage sites such as old churches and ancestral homes.

Mount Balagbag is one of San Rafael’s main attractions that stands at an elevation of 777 meters above sea level.
