Siguiri is a town in Guinea, West Africa, Located on the Niger River. It has a population of around 50, 000 people and is known for its gold mining industry. The mining sector provides employment opportunities for many residents and is an important source of income for the community. The climate in Siguiri is hot and dry with two distinct seasons – rainy season from May to October and dry season from November to April. During the rainy season, Farmers cultivate crops such as rice, Maize, Millet and sorghum.

Siguiri has several cultural landmarks that attract tourists including Kankan Musoleum – a historical monument that houses relics dating back to pre-colonial times when Siguiri was an important trade route between West Africa and North Africa.
