  3. Sŏsan LG Twins – The baseball team was created as a minor league affiliate of the LG Twins in 1990 but was disbanded after only one season due to low attendance.
  4. Sŏsan City FC – The football club was founded in 2019 and presently participates in the K4 League Basic division.

Overall, compared to other cities like Seoul or Busan, sports teams’ history is not very extensive or well-known.
