South Lyon is a small city located in the southwestern part of Oakland County, Michigan, United States. The city has a population of approximately 12, 000 people and covers an area of 3.7 square miles. South Lyon is situated between Ann Arbor and Detroit, Making it an ideal location for those who want to live in a peaceful environment but still have access to the hustle and bustle of the big city. The history of South Lyon dates back to the early 19th century when it was founded as a village by settlers from New York State.
