Tébessa is a city in the northeast region of Algeria, Near the border with Tunisia. It serves as the capital of Tébessa Province and has a population of approximately 150, 000 people. The city is situated on a plateau that stands at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level and is surrounded by mountains and hills. The history of Tébessa dates back to ancient times when it was founded by the Numidian King Syphax in the 3rd century BC.
