Tondo is a district situated in the northern part of Manila, Philippines. It has an estimated population of over 600, 000 people and is considered one of the most densely populated areas in the country. Tondo has a rich history dating back to pre-colonial times when it was ruled by Rajah Sulayman. The district is famous for its bustling markets like Divisoria and 168 Mall that offer affordable products, Making them popular shopping destinations for both locals and tourists alike. Tondo also boasts several historical landmarks such as the Bonifacio Shrine that commemorates Filipino revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio.

Poverty remains one of Tondo’s significant challenges with many residents living in informal settlements or slums without access to basic services like clean water, Sanitation facilities, And healthcare services.
