Trichinopoly, Also known as Tiruchirappalli, Is a city located in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city is situated on the banks of the Kaveri River and is surrounded by hills on all sides. Trichinopoly has a rich history that dates back to the 3rd century BC and has been ruled by various dynasties such as Cholas, Pandyas, Vijayanagar Empire, Nayaks and British.
