Yangjiang is a coastal city located in the southwestern part of Guangdong Province, China. It is surrounded by mountains and faces the South China Sea. Yangjiang has a population of approximately 2.5 million people and covers an area of 7, 500 square kilometers. The city has a rich history that can be traced back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE). During this time, Yangjiang was known for its salt production and trade.
