Yekaterinburg, Also known as Ekaterinburg, Is the fourth-largest city in Russia and the administrative center of Sverdlovsk Oblast. It is located in the central part of the country, At the foothills of the Ural Mountains. The city has a population of over 1.5 million people and is an important industrial, Cultural and educational hub. The history of Yekaterinburg dates back to 1723 when it was founded by Peter the Great’s decree as a metallurgical center. Over time, It became an important trade route between Europe and Asia due to its strategic location on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

However, It gained notoriety for being the site where Tsar Nicholas II and his family were executed by Bolsheviks in 1918. Today, Yekaterinburg has transformed into a modern metropolis with skyscrapers lining its skyline.
