Yıldırım is a district in Bursa, Turkey that was named after Sultan Bayezid I, Also known as Yıldırım Bayezid for his swift military campaigns. The district covers 106 square kilometers and has around 700, 000 residents. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Bursa and has a rich history dating back to the Ottoman Empire. One of Yıldırım’s main attractions is its historic bazaar that has been around since the 14th century. The bazaar stretches over two kilometers and features hundreds of shops selling textiles, Clothing, Jewelry, Souvenirs and more.

Visitors can also explore several historic mosques in Yıldırım such as Orhan Gazi Mosque and Emir Sultan Mosque. The thermal baths are another popular attraction in Yıldırım as it sits on top of natural hot springs with healing properties used for centuries by locals.
