Zoetermeer is a beautiful city located in the province of South Holland, Netherlands. It is approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Rotterdam and has a population of around 125, 000 people. The name Zoetermeer means sweet lake in Dutch and it is derived from the fact that there used to be a lake in the area that was known for its sweet water. Zoetermeer has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages when it was just a small village.
