Ahmadnagar is a city in Maharashtra, India, Situated about 120 km northeast of Pune and around 300 km east-northeast of Mumbai. The city was founded by Ahmad Nizam Shah I in 1494 and served as the capital of the Nizam Shahi dynasty until it was conquered by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1595. The Ahmadnagar Fort is one of the most notable landmarks in the city. It covers an area of around 14 hectares and includes several palaces, Temples, Mosques, And other structures. The fort has been declared a protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India.

Salabat Khan’s Tomb is another popular attraction in Ahmadnagar. Salabat Khan was a nobleman who served under Emperor Akbar and later became governor of Gujarat under Emperor Jahangir. His tomb features intricate carvings on its walls.
