Alcobendas is a stunning city located in the northern region of Madrid, Spain. The city is situated in the autonomous community of Madrid and has a population of approximately 120, 000 people. Alcobendas is renowned for its contemporary architecture, Green spaces, Cultural heritage and economic progress. The city has a fascinating history that dates back to the 13th century when it was established by Alfonso VIII. The name Alcobendas comes from the Arabic term Al-Qubayn which means two towers. During the Middle Ages, The city played an essential role as an agricultural center and supplied food to Madrid.

Nowadays, Alcobendas is one of Spain’s most prosperous cities with thriving industries such as technology, Pharmaceuticals and finance. Many multinational corporations have their headquarters here including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Despite its modernity, Alcobendas still retains its cultural heritage with several historical landmarks such as La Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol (The Church of Saint Peter Apostle) which dates back to 1495.
