Araguari is a city in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Located at the junction of three rivers – Araguari, Paranaíba and Uberabinha. The population of the city is around 120, 000 people and it covers an area of 1, 418 km². The history of Araguari dates back to the colonial era when Portuguese explorers founded it in the late 17th century. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Araguari played a vital role in Brazil’s coffee industry.
