Arroyo Naranjo is a municipality situated in the southern part of Havana, Cuba. The name Arroyo Naranjo means Orange Creek in Spanish and it is believed to have been named after the many orange trees that used to grow along the creek that runs through the area. This municipality has a population of approximately 200, 000 people and covers an area of 127 km². The history of Arroyo Naranjo dates back to the early days of Spanish colonization when it was primarily used as a farming area.

Later on, It became an essential industrial center with factories producing various goods such as textiles and shoes. Today, Arroyo Naranjo remains an important industrial hub with several large factories producing everything from food products to construction materials.
