Baharampur, Also known as Berhampore, Is a city located in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal, India. The city sits on the banks of the Bhagirathi river and has a rich history dating back to the Mughal era. During British rule, Baharampur was an important center for trade and commerce and served as a gateway to eastern India. Silk production is one of Baharampur’s most famous industries. For centuries, It has produced some of India’s finest quality silk. The Murshidabad silk sarees are renowned throughout India for their intricate designs and exquisite craftsmanship.

Additionally, There are several historical landmarks in Baharampur that attract tourists from all over India. One such landmark is Hazarduari Palace, Built-in 1837 by Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah who ruled over Bengal at that time.
