Batman is a city located in southeastern Turkey, Near the borders of Iran and Iraq. It sits on the banks of the Batman River, Which flows into the Tigris River. The city has a population of around 400, 000 people and covers an area of 4, 649 square kilometers. The history of Batman dates back to ancient times when it was known as Bitlis. The city played an important role in trade between Persia and Mesopotamia due to its strategic location along important trade routes.
