Bengbu is a city in the northeastern part of Anhui Province, China. It sits on the banks of the Huai River and covers an area of 5, 952 square kilometers. With a population of over 3.6 million people, It serves as a vital transportation hub for central China. The city has an extensive history that dates back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE). During this period, It was called Bianzhou and played a crucial role as a military base for the Han army.
