Bundi is a small and charming city situated in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan, India. It is famous for its gorgeous architecture, Lively culture and fascinating history. The city was established by Rao Deva Hada in the 14th century and served as the capital of the Hada Rajput kingdom for many centuries. One of Būndi’s most iconic landmarks is its magnificent palace complex, Constructed during the 16th century by Rao Raja Ratan Singh. The palace showcases a unique fusion of Mughal and Rajput architectural styles, Featuring numerous courtyards, Pavilions, Balconies and terraces that offer stunning views of the surrounding hills.

Another must-see attraction in Būndi is its ancient stepwell or baori called Raniji ki Baori. This impressive structure was built during Queen Nathavati Ji’s reign in 1699 AD. The stepwell has over 200 steps leading down to a water reservoir that used to serve as a source of water for locals during times of drought. The markets also offer delicious local street food like kachoris (deep-fried bread stuffed with spicy lentils), Mirchi vadas (spicy fritters made with green chillies) and ghevar (a sweet dessert made with flour and sugar syrup). The best time to visit Būndi is between October and March when the weather is pleasant.
