Chimoio is a thriving city located in the Manica Province of Mozambique. It is located in the central part of the country and acts as an entryway to several other cities, Including Beira, Tete, And Zimbabwe. The city has a population of over 250, 000 people and is one of the fastest-growing urban centers in Mozambique. During colonial times, Chimoio was known as Vila Pery when it served as an administrative center for Portuguese colonizers. After gaining independence from Portugal in 1975, The city was renamed Chimoio after a nearby mountain range. Today, Chimoio boasts modern buildings with well-paved roads.

The economy of Chimoio relies heavily on agriculture and mining activities. The region has fertile soils that support crops such as maize, Cassava, Beans, And peanuts. Additionally, There are large deposits of minerals such as gold and copper that are mined in surrounding areas.
