Ciamis is a regency situated in the West Java province of Indonesia that has a rich cultural heritage dating back to the pre-colonial era. The name Ciamis comes from two words, Ci meaning water and amis meaning sweet or delicious, Referring to the sweet taste of its high mineral content water. Covering an area of 2, 556 square kilometers and with a population of over 1 million people, Ciamis is bordered by Tasikmalaya Regency to the north, Garut Regency to the west, Pangandaran Regency and Indian Ocean to the south, And Majalengka Regency to the east.
