Elgin is a charming city located in Kershaw County, South Carolina, United States. It is situated just 20 miles northeast of the state capital, Columbia. With a population of around 1, 500 people and an area of approximately 4 square miles, Elgin is a small but vibrant community that offers residents and visitors alike plenty to see and do. One of the most notable attractions in Elgin is the historic Robert Mills House. This beautiful mansion was built in the early 19th century by architect Robert Mills, Who also designed many other famous buildings including the Washington Monument.
