Sinnūris is a small town located in the Asyut Governorate of Egypt. It is situated on the east bank of the Nile River, About 200 km south of Cairo. The town has a population of approximately 20, 000 people and is known for its ancient history and rich cultural heritage. One of the most notable features of Sinnūris is its proximity to several important archaeological sites. Just a few kilometers outside the town lies the ancient city of Antaeopolis, Which was founded during the Old Kingdom period (c. 2686-2181 BCE).
