Gafsa is a city in southwest Tunisia, Near the Algerian border. It’s known for its rich mineral resources, Particularly phosphate, Which has been extracted from the region for over 100 years. The city has a population of around 90, 000 people and serves as an important economic center for the country. One of Gafsa’s notable landmarks is the Roman amphitheater, Which dates back to the 3rd century AD and can seat up to 30, 000 people. It was built during Emperor Septimius Severus’ reign and was used for gladiatorial games and other public events.
