Hājīpur is a city in Bihar, India, Situated on the banks of River Ganges. It was an important center for Buddhism during ancient times and has a rich history. The name Hājīpur means the village of Hajis or pilgrims and reflects its historical significance as a place where Muslim pilgrims would stopover on their way to Mecca. Mahatma Gandhi Setu is one of the main attractions in Hājīpur. It is one of the longest bridges in India and provides stunning views of both sides of the river.
