Huili Chengguanzhen is a small town situated in the southwestern part of China’s Sichuan Province with an estimated population of 50, 000 people. This town is located on the banks of the Yalong River and is known for its beautiful scenery, Rich culture and history, And unique architecture. One of Huili Chengguanzhen’s most famous landmarks is the Huili Ancient Town which dates back to over 1, 000 years ago during the Tang Dynasty.   3. Chen Yi, a prominent Chinese Communist Party leader who served as mayor of Shanghai and governor of Guangdong province, was born in Huili Chengguanzhen in 1901.
  4. Yang Yongqing, a famous musician and composer who wrote popular songs in China during the 1940s and 1950s, was also born there in 1918.
  5. Liang Shuming, an influential philosopher and writer who played an important role in shaping modern Chinese thought, spent his later years living and teaching near Huili Chengguanzhen.
  6. In May 2008, Sichuan province experienced a massive earthquake that caused widespread devastation and loss of life including Huili Chengguanzhen.
