Ikare is a bustling city situated in the northern part of Ondo State, Nigeria. It is one of the largest cities in the state and has a rich cultural heritage that dates back to ancient times. The city has a population of over 200, 000 people and is home to various ethnic groups including the Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis and Igbos. The economy of Ikare heavily relies on agriculture with crops such as cocoa, Yam, Cassava and maize being cultivated on large scale farms in the surrounding areas.

One of Ikare’s most notable landmarks is the Palace of Olukare which serves as the traditional residence of the town’s monarch.
