Independence, United States is a small city located in the western part of the state of Missouri. It is situated about 10 miles east of Kansas City and has a population of approximately 117, 000 residents. The city was founded in 1827 and played an important role in the history of the United States as it served as the starting point for many westward-bound pioneers during the 19th century. One of Independence’s most famous attractions is the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum.

This museum features exhibits on Truman’s life and presidency, Including his decision to drop atomic bombs on Japan, Which ended World War II.
