Jean-Rabel is a small town located in the northwest region of Haiti, Surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush greenery. The town has a population of approximately 50, 000 people and is known for its rich cultural heritage. The economy of Jean-Rabel is mainly based on agriculture, With most residents engaged in farming activities such as growing coffee, Bananas, Mangoes, And avocados. The town also has a vibrant market where locals sell their produce to visitors and other residents. One of the main attractions in Jean-Rabel is the historic Fort-Dimanche.
Built during the Haitian Revolution in 1804 by Toussaint L’Ouverture’s army to protect against French invasion, This fort served as an important strategic location during Haiti’s fight for independence.
