Keren is a city situated in the northern region of Eritrea, Near Sudan’s border. It is the second-largest city in the country with a population of about 150, 000 people. The city is famous for its cultural heritage and historical significance, Making it an essential tourist destination. One of Keren’s most notable features is its architecture, Which includes many buildings from the Italian colonial era that blend African and Italian styles. Keren also played a significant role in World War II when British forces defeated Italian troops stationed in Eritrea after several weeks of intense fighting.
