Kolpino is a quaint town located in the southern part of St. Petersburg, Russia, Situated on the banks of the Kolpino River and surrounded by forests and lakes. The town has a population of approximately 30, 000 people and covers an area of around 22 square kilometers. The history of Kolpino dates back to the 18th century when it was established as a settlement for workers who were constructing Peterhof Palace.
